The "Energy Saving and New Energy Vehicle Technology Roadmap 2.0" for the year 2020 was released in China, with the target of achieving new passenger vehicle average fuel consumption of 4.6L/100km, 3.2L/100km, and 2.0L/100km by 2025, 2030, and 2035 respectively, while continuously upgrading energy-saving and emission reduction standards. According to "Bureau Veritas China" data, reducing vehicle weight by 10% can save up to 5-10% fuel consumption, and reducing the overall vehicle weight by 100kg can decrease fuel consumption by 0.3-0.6L/100km and reduce CO2 emissions by 8.5g/km. In the case of pure electric vehicles, reducing the overall vehicle weight by 10% can increase the average driving range by 5%-8%. Therefore, lightweighting of vehicles has become a key development technology in the field of energy saving and emission reduction, and the main technical approach to achieve lightweighting in new energy vehicles is through the integration of body and aluminum alloy die casting.
